Tikkoun, la réparation

« Tikkoun », mot qui désigne en hébreu la réparation (mais aussi la rédemption et la restauration…), est le concept autour duquel s’articule la perception de l’histoire chez les juifs, ainsi que leur vision du monde. Dans un premier temps, le film « Tikkoun, la réparation » présente les prolongements de ce concept, dans l’élaboration des structures politiques, sociales, juridiques et culturelles de la société juive.
Dans un deuxième temps, le film analyse les incidences de ce concept dans l’histoire contemporaine du peuple juif et de l’État d’Israël. En effet, le projet sioniste, essentiellement laïque, à ses débuts, avait un objectif consensuel : la création d’un « État des juifs ».
Le tournant radical de ces dernières années, avec l’irruption des mouvements religieux et messianiques dans le champ étatique, revendiquant un « Etat juif », s’avère conflictuel.
Ce film relève le défi de réconcilier ces positions antagonistes.

The Hebrew word “Tikkun”, signifying atonement, redemption, reparation, expresses the concept fundamental to the way of life of the Jewish people, their perception of history and vision of the world. The film “Tikkun-Reparation” deals with the repercussions of this concept on the social, political, legal and cultural structures of Jewish society.
Secondly, it examines the effects of the concept on contemporary Jewish and Israeli history. While the generally agreed aim of the initial, essentially non-religious Zionist project was to create a “State of the Jews”, recent years have seen a turning-point as religious and Messianic movements demanding a “Jewish State” irrupted on the political scene, resulting in conflict. This film confronts the challenge of reconciling these two hostile positions.
